Valerie Shore is a senior at the University of Massachusetts - Amherst, where she is majoring in English with a specialization in professional and technical writing and minoring in Japanese.

Technical writing first interested her as an interesting combination of teaching, writing, and graphic design. In 2008 she entered the Professional and Technical Writing (PWTC) program at Umass Amherst and found it challenging and fun. This portfolio website was originally created as a PWTC class assignment.

In her spare time she enjoys reading, biking, and dancing. She has always been interested in web design, and registered her first personal domain in 2001 at age 13. She enjoys the simplicity and creativity that comes along with designing for the internet and print.
